On February 14, 2024 the Research center «Smart technologies for sustainable development of the urban environment in the global change» Agrarian and Technological Institute RUDN University organizes an international scientific seminar «Ecosystem services of SUITMAs in Arctic urban ecosystems». The event will be held in a mixed format at the ATI RUDN and on the Microsoft Teams platform. The working language is Russian.
The seminar will address issues of the characteristics of microbial communities of urban soils and soil constructions in the Russian Arctic using the example of 3 cities of the Murmansk region (Murmansk, Apatity, Monchegorsk). The main properties of urban soils and soil structures of Arctic cities, features of microbial communities: their quantitative characteristics, functional activity and taxonomic diversity will be discussed.
