About the event:

December 13 – 15, 2023 the Research center «Smart technologies for sustainable development of the urban environment in the global change» Agrarian and Technological Institute RUDN University organizes an international scientific seminar «Green infrastructure and sustainable development». The event will be held in a mixed format. The working language is Russian and English.

Presentations at the seminar will provide an overview of methods for monitoring and assessing the condition of urban green spaces, and will also present modern methods that can be used to determine indicators of the condition of green infrastructure.

December 6 – 8, 2023 the Research center «Smart technologies for sustainable development of the urban environment in the global change» Agrarian and Technological Institute RUDN University organizes an international scientific seminar «Life phase of urban soils and sediments». During the seminar, experts and participants will discuss the properties of the soil microbiome of urban and industrially polluted areas of different climatic zones (subarctic, temperate and others). Particular attention will be paid to the issues of biodiversity of microbial communities, their functioning in anthropogenically modified soils and assessment of ecosystem services provided by microorganisms.

Blue-Green infrastructure is an essential part of a healthy urban environment. The Research center «Smart technologies for sustainable development of the urban environment in the global change» Agrarian and Technological Institute RUDN University organizes an international scientific seminar «Environmental pollution by hydrocarbons: advances in monitoring, assessment and remediation», which will be held on October 03-05.

With the constant improvement of people’s living standards, great efforts are being made to protect the environment. Among the environmental problems, soil pollution with hydrocarbons is of widespread concern due to the persistence and complexity of the decomposition of pollutants. Among various reclamation technologies, technologies for improving microbiological reclamation in situ have become an urgent problem due to their low cost, environmental friendliness and availability in situ. The international scientific seminar will be devoted to several technologies of microbiological reclamation in situ, as well as their engineering applications. In addition, research directions in this area will be discussed.
